GUITARCADE
Guitarcade is an ongoing project I've written and developed over the past couple of years. It centers around a fictional mall called Rockridge Mall and explores the collapse of brick-and-mortar retail America as a storytelling vehicle. Six different characters with varying connections to the mall deal with both the closure and the faulty electrical wiring of the stores they work in through their relationships with one another. Due to the actions of the main character, Jules, the mall suffers a power surge that causes the electronics within it to come alive, thirsty for the encore of their favorite band that hasn't performed in over a year. Together with the rest of the cast, Jules is faced with destroying the electronics and thus destroying any chance the mall has at staying open, or finding a way for the band to join back up again for one night to appease the monsters for good.
